There’s just something about a great-looking cowhide sprawled out on the floor that makes a statement and asks a question at the same time. Rustic? Mid-century modern? Western? You name it, our faux cowhides have been called it.
So, yes, a statement piece. But the ability to simultaneously bring a room together with the perfect combination of dappled browns, whites, blacks, and grays of our faux cowhide rugs makes it more than a statement, it brings the room together.
Okay, so a home décor statement piece that your neighbors, family, and friends will ask about, sure. But what separates a NativeSkins cowhide from the rest, apart from its deep, rich, never-fade colors, is its feeling under foot. Don’t tell our competitors this, but we weren’t satisfied with just having the softest of soft plush faux fur for our cowhide rugs. We wanted them to soften a hardwood or tile floor, too. That’s why we designed a special mezzanine layer to provide a just enough cushion to make it soft enough to stand or lie down on, yet thin enough to maintain the look and feel of a true cowhide.
There’s one more thing, though. How do you store an actual leather cowhide? Not easily. Folding leather can lead to permanent creases and even cracks in the bottom layer. With our faux cowhides, storing is simple and not damaging to your rug. Simple fold it up into the same rectangle shape it was shipped to you in and put it away for the night or for a season when you need a change. It’ll be waiting for you in the same pristine condition you left it in when you need it again.
